«TAKT-Gas» - a program for calculating the amount of fire extinguishing gas and the required number of cylinders (modules) with extinguishing gas for gas fire extinguishing systems with chladones, including FK-5-1-12 (Novec 1230), and carbon dioxide, as well as for calculating pipeline diameters of these installations and Checking the calculation of the time of supply of refrigerant to the protected room. The technique used was approved by FGU VNIIPO EMERCOM of Russia both in the part concerning fire extinguishing with chladones and in the part concerning fire fighting Novec 1230.
The main content of the calculation:

• Determination of the mass of the gas extinguishing agent necessary to create a standard volumetric concentration in the protected room in accordance with the "Method for calculating the mass of a gas extinguishing agent for gas extinguishing installations ...", given in Annex 6 of the NSB 88-2001 *;
• Determination of the number of cylinders (modules) for storage and release of fire extinguishing gas; Calculation of the diameter of the pipelines and the areas of the nozzle openings for the chosen configuration of the pipeline system, providing the time for the delivery of the extinguishing gas to the room no more than the normative (for automatic carbon dioxide extinguishing installations);
• Preliminary calculation of the diameters of the pipelines and the areas of the nozzle openings for the chosen configuration of the pipeline system and the verification calculation of the time of extinguishing gas supply to the protected room (for the automatic halon extinguishing plants).

Due to the lack of approved domestic methods for the calculation of pipeline systems and nozzles for gas fire extinguishing systems with chladones, Novec 1230 and carbon dioxide (except for installations storing carbon dioxide in an isothermal tank), the time required to enter the room for the required amount of extinguishing agent for halon and Novec 1230 is calculated on a special Developed method, and for carbon dioxide extinction calculation of pipeline diameters and nozzle orifice areas for the selected pipeline system configuration, both The time required for the delivery of fire extinguishing gas to the premises is no more than the normative one, it is produced according to the American NFPA 12 standard, and for local extinguishing - in accordance with the norms and design rules of VSN 21-02-01 (RF Ministry of Defense).
